Back in 1988, I and a few colleagues from the BDXC and free radio went to Communicate '88. The event was held at the Spanish Hall in the Winter Gardens complex at Blackpool. Entry was £10 and, as there was a Lib Dem conference going on at the time, we had difficulty finding the entrance as someone had turned the sign around! We met Jonathan Marks from Radio Netherlands and there were also people from some of the land based stations of the time. BDXC members Bob White and Ken Fletcher also attended.
